About the lodge
Morpho Lodge is the 25 m² lodge a few steps further up the path, named after the blue morpho butterflies that drift past the terrace in the early morning. A comfortable king-size bed, a small kitchen, a bright living space and a 15 m² terrace into the green.
Inside: king bed with two bedside tables, a dining area for two, a kitchenette with mini fridge, coffee machine and the basics for light meals, a row of hooks for your things, and a private bathroom with hot shower. Air conditioning with a HEPA filter.
Outside: a table, two chairs, a rocking chair and a grill on the terrace, with the jungle right there. Morpho is slightly more tucked away than Turtle — the one to pick if you want the quietest spot on the property. Solar-powered, on our own well water, and with us around to book your tours.
Who it's for
People who came for the jungle rather than a schedule — a couple, two friends, or one person with the forest to themselves. Slow mornings, no rush, and the quietest corner of the hill.

Good to know
- Check-in from 2 pm, check-out by 11 am — tell us your arrival time and we'll be there (or leave everything ready for self check-in).
- Food: no restaurant on site. Cook in your lodge, or eat in Puerto Jiménez, 25 minutes away — we'll send you our list of favourites.
- Getting here: gravel track for the last stretch; 4x4 recommended. No car? The taxi we work with is $25 each way from town (+506 8378 5961, English and Spanish) — tell us and we'll call them for you.
- Wildlife: the lodge is inside a wildlife corridor. Monkeys, coatis and birds pass through daily — keep food inside and the terrace doors closed when you're out.
